Still no new updates on the progress of Exmortis 3. At the moment I am prioritizing between being sorted with my recent move and getting a new website up and running for a baseball tournament called "The Beaver Cup" that I am organising here in Sydney for the October long weekend.
I'm almost finished with that tournament website, and on top of that I am being bombarded with web development opportunities due to word-of-mouth referrals as a result of recent web sites that I have had a hand in...
As a result, I may be forced to place a lower importance on the Exmortis3 game as these web development opportunities have the potential to pay some outstanding bills, whilst the Exmortis series has no financial benefit to me and can be considered more of a hobby than a career furthering opportunity.
But the more I put off doing any work on Exmortis3, the clearer the vision becomes of where I want to take this story. Plus I can assure you that I am very excited about implementing a certain element of game play in to this title - as I am sure it will make 99.9% of you react with "Holy shit! That's fucking sick!!" And the best part is, it's a relatively easy thing to implement...
I won't spoil you with details on the gameplay element I am referring to, but once it's implemented - to those of you who felt that the 2nd game wasn't as blood thirsty as the 1st one - I say Exmortis3 will make them seem like Sesame Street!

I'm a freelance strat guide writer for video games (done several projects with www.future-press.com), specialised in survival horror (shameless plug - check out my low quality vids on RE4) and I must say I enjoyed playing EXM1 and EXM2 very much. Admittedly, EXM1 had the scarier experience, but that's usually the benefit of being the first part of a series.
Either way, I really liked the background story, the graphics (although some are a bit cliched (EXM1 head in microwave, EXM2 ghost in air duct)) - lots of fun ideas. Action sequences are a bit less - your forte lies in creating suspense and tension; less is more in a way. Your final comment in this post gives me a good feeling. Also, the high audio quality was the right call indeed.
Here's to EXM3 - may it be as good as its predecessors, and I'm very interested to find out if the trilogy is concluded on a negative or positive note :). Take your time sorting out the real life, but do note down gameplay elements that appear along the way so that you have them when you get back to EXM3. From my own experience, I more than understand your situation and will patiently wait until "The Day" arrives :).

Nice demo trailer... from what I gather, Hannay is trying to exact vengeance on Vlaew now that he's dead... I just suddenly thought of that TS Elliot poem and how that would work out with the dark theme thus far.

What program did you use to make ExM 1&2?
All programs used are listed in the end-credits of the games... ;)
Essentially the core programs used were Photoshop, Flash Pro, Fruityloops, Adobe Audition, Poser, and (believe it or not this is the most used application on my notebook) WINDOWS NOTEPAD!!!

Oh my God, I love Exmortis 1&2, These are the two coolest games I have played in a long time (and totally the coolest flash game I have ever played). Can't wait for EXM3!!!!! I loved the Sodoku idea.

I'm confused. At the end of exmortis 2 Mr. Hannay is attacked by vlaew, but i dont remember anything about vlaew having a human form, does he? And about exmortis 3... will we be playing the final installment in the other realm, since Mr. Hannay is now dead? Or will we be seeing through the eyes of yet another character? Just curious!
