It was as much of a surprise for me as anyone else that Goliath The Soothsayer, after only being live for 42 days, has already hit the 1 million plays mark!
It took Exmortis2 about 8 months to accomplish that feat - so to say that those involved in the production of this game are summarily chuffed by how quickly Goliath was picked up - well, that would be an understatement.
I'm sure that as a result of this success, you will see a few more Universal Records/Leffler Web Design collaborations in the future :)
So I send a MASSIVE thank you to all of you guys for playing the game. But for now, I get back to work at putting together a kick-ass Exmortis 3...

The game is great but I can't get past the computer password puzzle please don't put something like this in exmortis 3 and could you give me any hints on how to get past it (other then the clock)
Dude, you deserve it, after all that has happened.
I hope that Exmortis ends up being a full scale videogame for Wii some day ^_^
"Hurry up and make Exmortis 3, what part of di di mau don't you understand?"
haha sorry couldnt resist. Even though i am itching to know the wrap up to exmortis dont rush it. Make it golden.
Oh, man. I just found out about Exmortis last night. I was scared to death playing it, and it was hard for me to sleep las night, but I loved it! I honestly think it was scarier than the Silent Hill and Resident Evil games, and the story is better too. Goliath was awesome too, and it would be awesome if they were somehow tied in together in the Exmortis sequel.
Can't wait for Exmortis 3, but take your time with it and make sure its polished and perfect. Whatever length it takes, I'll wait.
Exmortis is awesome. Cant wait for the third one. It would be awesome if the Goliath game and Exmortis were tied in somehow in the third installment. They're even scarier than the Resident Evil and Silent Hill games!
However long it takes, I will wait for the 3rd one, and I hope it can top even its predecessors.
Goliath the Soothsayer was AMAZING. The graphics were even better than in the first two Exmortis games! Now I have really super high expectations for E3! Not that I didn't anyway, but after GS, they're even higher.
Keep up the good work!
Well mr. Leffler, the fact that
(a) Soothsayer the game was released alongside the music CD from a popular band
and
(b) Exmortis and Exmortis 2 established your reputation as a Flash-Horror-game creator
might be the reason why Soothsayer the game achieved this amount of hits this quickly. Keep the quality up, and these statistics will skyrocket with future productions.
Best of luck with Exmortis 3 (could you give some indication/estimate as to how far you are with it, percentagewise?), and enjoy the success of Soothsayer and any possible future "profitable" productions this may entail.
Speaking of Exmortis 2, I think I'm going to have a play at it again right now - the fun story has become a bit vague so I need to jog my memory a little.
Exmortis 1 & 2 both scared me half to death. I had a lot of trouble sleeping for the next few nights.
Naturally, I can't WAIT for Exmortis 3 to come out. =D
I just played Soothsayer today, and I can't sleep now. D: Scary! Graphics and gameplay has definitely improved since Exmortis 1. Congratulations! I'm awaiting another wicked awesome game!
By the way...where DO those pictures of the rooms in the house come from anyway? It's been bugging me. Looks like someone just snapped photos of real rooms.
I suppose that also attributes to it's scare factor. The real-looking scenery sort of pulls you in to the game.
hey im only 13 and i've loved ur exmortis games since i found em on ng lyk 2 or 3 yrs ago im so pumped 4 ex3 i've played all ur games and i rlly cant w8 they were so scary i was sittin at the screen wit my mouth wide open the first time i played em ().()
No posts since Feb? I hope that means that my favourite Australian Game develepor is hard at work on his highly anticipated follow up to his break through game titles and can't find the time to post on his blog site...
But how about an update?
I just wanted to say that I love Exmortis and I find myself looking forward to it more that I did the expansion of World of Warcraft. Your games still scare me silly after playing them like a thousand times. Please don´t stop scaring me, you are my hero!
We haven't heard from you in awhile. Just wanted to check to see if the game is still in production. Thanks.
personaly i dont think your games are "OMG WHAT THE*****!) Scary but they are addicting I have played them all and I want Exmortist 3 to be an amazing game. The fact it got this far is amazing. I played all the games on NG (including Perg) They all have that aspect you crave. the pop outs give a nice feel but the puzzles in 1 made Zelda fans go crazy with enjoyment. I found out about them last sunday and started playing one each day since tuesday. I enjoyed 1 the most because of the puzzles though goliath kickeed that up with the e-diary and the safe...continue what you do people love this. Plus its fun on the wii for sleep overs-Than God for wi-fi my friends screamed like hell last night.LOL!
I don't think Exmortis 3 is coming... its been I think two years since the announced date, which he did say was an estimate but this is too long for development to still be going on. I'm dissappointed but there's been no news on it and he's made other games. :(
Does anybody know if Leffler's still alive? He hasn't posted in like four months, and his Leffler Web Design page doesn't even have any details on Goliath. I'm gettin' kinda worried.
Anybody know his email address?
Ok, I just played Goliath The Soothsayer.
I love it!
It was amazing.
I know that Exmortis 3 will be just as good if not better and I'm very happy for you.
With all the work you've done to get here, you desearve to have all these people practically worshipping you and your games!
You're amazing Ben!
